Communication is the lifeblood of any military campaign, and in the Ukraine war, it has been no different. From traditional radios to new technology like Starlink, Ukraine has deployed numerous communication tools to maintain operational effectiveness. Despite facing electronic warfare threats from Russia, these systems have enabled Ukrainian forces to coordinate effectively, gather intelligence, and maintain control over their military operations.
Assisting Ukraine with communication equipment can help to make a serious impact on military operational success.
Drones
The war in Ukraine has increasingly evolved into a drone-centred conflict, especially on the eastern front, where both Ukrainian and Russian forces have integrated drones into their tactics. What began as a conventional war has now developed into a high-tech conflict, with commercial drones like the DJI Mavic 3, alongside more specialised Kamikaze and Vampire drones also becoming standard.
The Mavic 3, a commercially available drone, has been widely adopted by Ukrainian forces. Its high-resolution cameras, compact design, and ease of use allow soldiers to scout enemy positions and identify targets without risking personnel.
Electrical Equipment
Electrical equipment such as generators, 12V batteries, and inverters are essential for maintaining power in Ukraine during the war, particularly in areas where infrastructure has been damaged.
Generators provide backup power for military bases and hospitals ensuring vital systems like communication and medical equipment remain operational.
12V batteries are widely used to power smaller devices such as radios, drones and portable medical equipment, offering a portable source of energy.
Inverters and Ecoflows can be used together to allow standard electrical equipment to be used in remote locations.
Helping the military stay powered in a 21st century war is crucial to the success of Ukraines campaign.
